LEBANON — A former employee for two area car dealerships allegedly embezzled nearly $34,400 by pocketing fictitious returns on parts.

Kenneth L. Huff, 53, of Carlisle, was indicted Friday by a Warren County grand jury on two counts of theft, both fourth-degree felonies. The indictments were released on Monday.

Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said Huff had worked at Lebanon Chrysler Dodge Jeep and allegedly embezzled more than $26,800 from the dealership.

Fornshell said Huff was also working at Kings Kia in Deerfield Twp. and between June 2009 and September 2010, where he allegedly embezzled more than $7,500 from the dealership.

He said Huff allegedly had made the fictitious returns using his credit card while he worked at the Kia dealership.

Fornshell said Huff was caught after the Kia dealership found discrepancies and tracked it to the former employee.

When police questioned him about the Kia embezzlements, Huff allegedly admitted to the embezzlements at the Lebanon dealership, Fornshell said.

He did not have a date when Huff would be arraigned in Warren County Common Pleas Court.
